Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 March 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ZML SAS ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on zmlai.org. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
ZML is a developer-facing ML inference orchestration platform. Our cookie use is intentionally minimal: we need strictly necessary cookies to keep sessions authenticated and the platform functional, and we offer optional analytics to improve the product. We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertising networks.
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to the ZML marketing site and web platform at zmlai.org. It covers cookies, local storage entries, and similar client-side technologies placed on your device when you visit or use the Service.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a web server. They allow the site to recognise your device across requests, persist session state, store your preferences, and measure how the service is used. We also use browser local storage (for your consent decision and session tokens) and may use pixel-equivalent analytics beacons where you have consented.
3. Your Consent
Because ZML SAS is established in France and the Service is available to EU/EEA visitors, we apply a prior-consent model in line with the ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in French law) and CNIL guidance. We do not set non-essential cookies (analytics, preferences) until you give explicit consent through our cookie banner on first visit.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. They are the minimum required for the Service to function securely.
You can review or change your consent at any time by clicking the button below, using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, or by contacting us at [email protected].
4. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Examples | Lifetime | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session token, CSRF protection, cookie-consent record (localStorage) | Session to 12 months | Legitimate interest / contract performance |
| Preferences | Theme, language, routing-policy editor state | Up to 12 months | Consent |
| Analytics | Self-hosted analytics (anonymised page views and routing-event aggregates) | Up to 13 months | Consent |
| Marketing | Not currently used | Not applicable | Consent (if activated) |
5. Third-Party Cookies
Where we use a third-party analytics processor, that processor may set cookies on its own domain to aggregate usage data. We have data-processing agreements in place with any such processor under Article 28 GDPR. We only enable third-party analytics after you have given consent. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
6. Managing Cookies
- Use the cookie banner (shown on first visit) or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer to accept, reject, or revisit your choice at any time.
- Your browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies independently of the banner. Detailed instructions for major browsers are available at aboutcookies.org.
- Browser-transmitted opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), are honoured: if your browser transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to use only strictly necessary cookies and will not activate analytics or marketing categories for that session.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we change the categories of cookies we use, or activate cookies in a category marked "not currently used," we will update this policy and, where required by ePrivacy rules or CNIL guidance, request renewed consent from existing visitors.
